Mr. LeFroy
I wish I lived in simpler times. Or do I? I don't know. I was wondering the other day, after watching "Becoming Jane," what life would've been like if I'd been born in that era in England? I love all the movies that take place in that time period, such as "Pride & Prejudice." I love the dresses the women wore back then... the balls they attended... how men and women interacted... everything was so lovely! The men wore nice suits and were gentlemen, like Mr. Thomas LeFroy!
I'm in love with Tom LeFroy! hehe... I've seen "Becoming Jane" twice. It's such a great movie. Definitely on the top of my favourites list now. True, the story might have been fictionalized. Although it's hard to tell how fictionalized it is... Because apparently, Jane Austen asked her sister to destroy letters containing any mention of Tom LeFroy upon her death. Why would she ask this to be done, if it was just a mere flirtation, as some say it was when critiquing "Becoming Jane"? That doesn't make sense. But fictionalized or not, it's a great movie and I love it. I wish men like Mr. LeFroy or Mr. Darcy actually existed! If only...*sigh*
James McAvoy is such a great actor. He played the doctor in "Last King of Scotland." He's just so adorable hehe :$ I'm not a huge fan of the movie "Starter for Ten," but he was adorable and quirky in that as well. Oh, and we can't forget him as Mr. Tumnus in "Chronicles of Narnia!" hehe:) He married a woman who is 9 or 10 years his senior! I think he should ditch her and marry me instead. lol Well, one can dream! hehe
Oh my goodness! I almost forgot! So I made an impulsive decision and finally bought a digital SLR. I am now the owner of a Canon Rebel XTi. Digital photography is much more complicated then regular ol' film photography. I haven't learned how to take proper photos with my camera yet. Before, all the extra work would be done in the darkroom. But now, I need to learn how to use all these buttons to get an image as I want it. *sigh* I should probably take a digital photography course...

Hehe.
Apparently the Irish lawyer danced 3 dances with her at a ball and their flirtations reached her sister whole travelling, which means they were significant. Oh and she visited him on a trip to England, which suggests it's not completely fictious. Wonder why they never married.
Wow! The SLR sounds excellent. I'm surprised you didn't go for the Canon 350D or 400D. I look forward to your experimentations in any case!
Well, if the movie is based largely on fact afterall, watch it!! It explains very well why they never married... It's so sad. I cried both times I watched it... *sigh* I love this movie...
Thank you, I think I will afterall :D
