Undeclared War?

Everyone, PLEASE pray for the people of Lebanon and all others being affected by those damn Israelis. I hope InshAllah my friend and her mum make it back home safely. But how can they leave, with the airports having been bombed? Ya Allah... Everyone just pray, pray, pray!!!

All the news stations are saying this is an undeclared war. It certainly seems like it. Spoke to my friend this morning. She said she heard mortar bombs all day yesterday, and then in the morning a massive explosion, which caused the house to shake. And people are dying...

It seems so unreal. Just a few days ago my friend and I were joking about smoking hookah and whatnot. She was talking about her favourite Lebanese food... And now she's worried for her life and fears that she might not even make it. Just unbelieveable... And the God damn news is painting Israel to be the victim. *sigh*

InshAllah my friend and her mum will make it back home soon, and InshAllah the people of Lebanon will be safe... Just pray people... :(

Any thoughts about this war?

EDIT (7/18/2006):

I hadn't heard from her in almost 24 hours, so I messaged her at 5am NY time, and this is what she said:

All the glass doors and windows in the house are broken. LIke hell has ripped through. The light has just come up outside and we can more clearly assess the damage. This is like a scene from hell. They hit about 50 m away from us I'd guess. The smoke and fire was MASSIVE in my eyes right before the explosion RIPPED through the whole house and broke everything. We spent every second of 5 hours wondering whether this bomb will kill us, whether this missile hit near us and how much it would impact the house, whether we'd die under tons of cement rubble, whether those effing planes will ever just GO AWAY?!! Get us the hell out of here!!

This was a message she sent to someone a few hours before she sent it to me, I believe. As Rafi said in the comment, seems only those in Beirut or Syria are being evacuated, while Rima is still in the south. Ya Allah.... PLEASE PRAY SHE AND HER MUM GET OUT SOON AND SAFELY INSH'ALLAH!!!!!!!

Salam,

A friend of mine too is in Lebanon. I hope the people are save. Thoughts on this war? Damn and down with Israel but how did all this start? Was it "FAIR" to start all this? *sigh* I think it was not. Innocent Lebanese are squeezed in the middle.

May Allah help us all and keep everyone there safe. *sigh*

sorry to hear that prometheus.
it doesnt look good for those in the south. our friends and their family have survived last nights bombings, but some of those around them cant have from the damage that ive heard. food and water is running out too.

and despite asutralia saying it will help australians out, it seems it will only help those in beirut already. whereas those in the worst danger are in the south and cant get out.

I checked up on my friend, Hassan, in Lebanon and he too has very distressing news. He wants to shift his wife & children out of there as soon as possible. He told me that people are trying to reach to Beirut and then onwards to the Syrian border. His uncle's house got hit pretty badly. I hope all these innocent people in Lebanon, suffering from the atrocities of the Israeli Army, remain under the protection of Allah.

actually i was thinking that with the electricity out, she should maybe conserve her mobile battery by turning it off and only turning it on at certain times during the day/night to send/recieve messages. it doesnt look like shes going to get out any time soon. and i dont know if their generator is still working. they will also have probs with food and water.
